Cost
Non-EU tuition is €9,850–25,000/yr (undergraduate) and €10,000–35,000/yr (postgraduate taught), with proof of funds required at ~€10,000/yr. Estimated cost of living is ~€1,000/month, with students typically needing €1,000–1,300/month.
Language requirements
English is the language of instruction throughout. Bachelor's applicants need IELTS 6.0–6.5 / TOEFL or equivalent, while master's applicants need IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0.
Visa
Students need to accept their offer and pay a tuition deposit, show proof of funds (~€10,000), arrange private medical insurance, complete the Irish student (Study) visa application with documents and biometrics submitted at a VFS centre, and register for an Irish Residence Permit (IRP) after arrival.
Post-study work rights
The Third Level Graduate Scheme allows students to stay to seek work for 12 months (Level 8) or 24 months (Level 9/10), with a Critical Skills Permit available as a fast-track route for in-demand roles. Students may work 20 hours a week in term time and 40 hours during holidays.
