Tuition for most bachelor's and master's programmes is PLN 8,000–17,000/year; engineering & IT is PLN 12,000–20,000/year; medicine (MD/MBBS) is PLN 40,000–65,000/year, approximately €2,000–4,000/year for non-medical programmes; proof of funds for the visa is ~PLN 12,800/year; estimated cost of living is ~PLN 3,000/month, with students typically needing PLN 2,500–3,500/month (~€550–750).

English-taught bachelor's courses require IELTS 6.0–6.5 or TOEFL, with medical programmes requiring an entrance exam and science subjects; Polish proficiency is required only for Polish-taught programmes; master's programmes require IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL (some require GRE/GMAT), with Polish proficiency needed for Polish-taught master's.

Applicants secure an admission letter from a Polish university, show proof of funds of around PLN 12,800 for the year, arrange health insurance, and submit a national (Type D) long-stay student visa application via VFS with proof of accommodation; a temporary residence card is required after arrival for longer stays.

Graduates can access a post-study permit (about 9 months) to look for work, with a route to convert to a work permit once they have a qualifying job offer; from July 2026, students can work without a permit only if their university is on the government's approved list, otherwise a work permit is required.
